Certificate of quality standards according to the latest version of ISO 9001: 2015
Due to the fact that Al Baraka Bank of Syria is always at the forefront in achieving compliance with international standards. After obtaining ISO 9001: 2008, Al Baraka Bank has upgraded this certificate to the new ISO 9001: 2015 version, only after the approval of the new specification by three months.
The Bank's adoption of the new version of the Standard has been positively reflected in the Bank's internal work procedures and increased its competitiveness and reputation in the market place. The bank has adopted advanced global methodologies such as risk-based thinking and a clear mechanism to avoid it, In addition to participating in the process of sustainable development and increasing the role and effectiveness of senior management in the quality management systems. The amendments to the standard focus on increasing the satisfaction and loyalty of customers, shareholders and stakeholders by the products & services provided by Al Baraka Bank.
It is worth mentioning that this upgraded certificate remarked above, has been granted to the bank by SGS International.
ISO 26000 certification in social responsibility:
The bank achieved an advanced degree in the social responsibility “performance Statement” certificate, due to the hard and fruitful work performed by the bank, in accordance with the international standard of social responsibility (ISO26000: 2010)., and after performing an external audit process that took about 5 continuous days. Thus, Al Baraka is the first bank in Syria to deserve this certification.
The Bank's success in achieving this certification is a culmination of its vision to realize leadership in the banking market and its continuous efforts to meet the best international standards that serves the banking sector and to preserve natural and human resources, including water, vegetation and the surrounding community.
The bank commitment to realize these international standards had also a great impact on the educational, training and humanitarian fields. Achievement of a reliable credit rating of (BBB) for the second consecutive year.
Al Baraka Bank of Syria has maintained in 2017 the outstanding credit rating that it has achieved in 2016, represented in the credit rating of investment grade BBB. Thus becoming the first Islamic bank in Syria to receive such a rating granted by the International Islamic Classification Agency (IIRA), according to DFRA standard.
